As a biologist I have always been fascinated by the incredible biological diversity and the fantastic landscapes that can be observed on earth. Photography has always been a way to express my deep feelings for Nature.
Photos presented here are from wild animals in their natural habitat and care was taken not to disturb them (for example no flash light was used). Shots were done in some of the remaining wild places of Europe (mountains and marshes) and in the American Wilderness, including western Canada and Alaska.
When not outside enjoying the magnificence of nature and taking pictures, I still participate in fundamental research as an emeritus professor of molecular and cellular genetics (Claude Bernard University, Lyon, France).
