Mattias Klum doesn't need a long introduction. Since he started working for National Geographic 23 years old, he quickly became one of the best known photographers in our time. He has travelled all over the world, documenting nature and cultures. He has produced tv shows, won about almost every photo award available and authored numerous photo books.
His book "The human quest" was praised by former US president Bill Clinton and he has been an appreciated lecturer at the Clinton Global Initiative.
In an exclusive interview for 1x, he tells us about how how it all began, what it's like to work for National Geographic and how photography can help make a better world.
