Congrats to our highly talented winners of weekly theme Flying, who has risen above the clouds all the way to the top! The sky is the limit! Peter Stahl scored first place, Christopher Schlaf was second and Margaret Morgan third.
See all the magnificent entries here.
Talking about weekly theme, we are considering to remake the voting system to make it anyonymous, more like how curation works and also to have separate voting and submission periods for each theme, so that every image has an equal chance of winning no matter if it was uploaded in the beginning or end of the week.

timido And by " REMAKE OF VOTING SYSTEM TO BE ANONYMOUS" - I hope you mean "votes and submissions will stay anonymus" - Which will be the start of "members voting photos" in the competition and end much too many attention seeking "great photo for weekly theme +V" comments ..... in order to get voted as well - BTW this being one of the reasons I would Limit the possible votes per member to "3 per day" which seems to be fair .... maxim 21 out of more than 1000 phot will be favored |
timido Congratulation to all winners - Again we see great inspiring photos on top of the results.

RE: REMAKE OF VOTING SYSTEM TO BE ANONYMOUS - Great idea - shows again your willingness and ambition to improve this great site. Maybe the separation of submission time and voting time could cause an issue: This way members have to review more than 1000 photos at a time. Why not leaving the submission time like it is - just reduce it by one day - SUBMISSION MONDAY TO SATURDAY - and reduce the POSSIBLE VOTES to maximum 3 Votes per day. (technically it shouldnt be a problem - submission and send for curation is working like this , already ) This way members can choose their favourites seven days a week just by using the "latest submission" button. |
