I knew that the max file dimension for uploading was 1200 of the largest side but in the case of the printing option we have to upload a large file with a better resolution.

Is this still the case?

I did not find the answer in the FAQ so I'd appreciate an answer. Than you

Mariuca,

The recommended size for uploading photos to 1X isn't mentioned in the new FAQ, but in Classic 1X FAQ it was stated that members should upload full resolution JPEG files with color profile sRGB, and no borders or signatures.  The site re-sizes photos to display on various pages.  I think the only need for full resolution files is for printing.  The largest image we see on 1X seems to be 1667x2500 pixels.

Thank you Steven.

In Classic we had to upload full resolution ONLY for printing.  Now there seems to be no alternative but to upload in 200 or 300 resolution.

I'll further inquire. There are probably a lot of loose ends in the new version.

I think that has to do with how 1x shows photos now. If you don't use the "tile view", but the floating display, small photos would just not look good in between.

You statement may be true, but does not seem to answer the question.

In the classic version,  1x asked for the undedited largest file for printing.  Since I can place a check mark in the box of any photo that I want to sell as a print,  I assume that this applies to any edited or unedited photo that is curated or not curated, regardess of size as long as it meets the minimum.

There is not print resolution stated.

Thanks in advance!
