Sending photographes to curation impossible

PREVIOUS uploaded photographes can not be send to curation. When using the cogwheel and 'submit to curation' one is redirected to open this photo in 'manage photos'.
Then: click on the "Edit"-button next to the photo you want to submit and then click on the button "Send to curation".
The button 'send to curation' is NOT there.
I noticed the button is there WHILE uploading a NEW photo.

Yes, that is indeed the case. PREVIOUSLY uploaded images cannot be submitted for curation. This is apparently a bug.

as described above, this doesn't work !!!! When you click on the gear icon you will be redirected to your photo directory. There you click on EDIT. But on the EDIT page the button "submit to curation" is missing !!!

I aplologize, you are right. I used the described procedure in past normally and yesterday evening, before writing the reply, just tested, that the 'Submit to curators' entry is there. And it still displayed the dialogue I am used to see. Maybe I saw this page because it was cached and today, I started with an fresh and empty cache.
 
But now, I executed it again, and now I also see the behaviour that you have described. They have changed the functionality.

Probably this bug has to do with the change of the weekly / monthly contest. There were some programming changes made, e.g. to avoid sending images to curation which were submitted to the monthly contest. Since then the edit-function of the photo directory lacks the "send to curation" button.
 
But I think that the bug will soon be fixed.

Try deleting the photo from lx completely out of the system. Then re-upload it, and let me know if there is any change at all?

Is there no menu choice at all - or is the area to submit greyed out?

I can't speak for Richard but I have made the following experience.
 
There are three different kind of images:
 
1. Images that you upload freshly
 
2. Images that are already in your portfolio but not yet sent to curation
 
3. Images that you once have submitted to the weekly theme
 
I don't know if you can send the images point 1 send to curation, I actually did't try it.
 
But I know that for images point 2. and point 3. it is impossible because there is no submit button existing.
 
Example for images point 2:
 
You choose an image from your portfolio that you didn't send to curation so far, go to the cog wheel and click on "submit to curators". Then you will be redirected to your photo directory where you click "edit" in the line of the photo you want to submit. Then the edit page opens where you can add text or change text or do something like that. But there is nowhere a submit to curation button, only a "save" button that you click when you have changed something. And there is an "upload print file" button, a "delete photo" button, BUT "NO SUBMIT TO CURATORS" BUTTON.
 
Example for images point 3 (after monthly contest has ended):
 
Clicking the cog wheel the usual line "submit to curators" doesn't exist. So you have to go directly to your photo directory where the situation is the same as described above.

I have contacted Ralf to let him know that there a second issue now as Hans has reported it in this thread.

I am also certain that this can be resolved.
 
If there is some reason you want to submit it immediately,then please follow my first solution which is to delete the photo and re-upload. You will lose any comments you have on the photo doing it this way, but if speed is of importance to you, then by all means try it.

It is now thirsday and the issue that I started this thread with is still not resolved.
To delete the photo and reupload is not a good work around. The photos have already received Likes and Comments. I don not want to that.

I'm so sorry that this problem has taken longer to fix that we thought. It's indeed related to the technical changes that were necessary to implement when Monthly theme was introduced. Hopefully, it should be solved today.

With the fresh uploaded images there are no problems even if they were not sent to curation immediately after uploading. In these cases the EDIT function in the photo directory leads to the page where the green "submit to curation" button exists (I tested this yesterday and was successful. After the upload I saved the page and hours later I edited the photo and the submit-button was visible)
 
Regrettably this button does not exist in all cases where the image was uploaded prior to the time when the monthly theme was launched.

I have the same problem, no "Submit to the Curator" for any pictures that were sent to the monthly theme... The "submit to the Curator" works fine for all other pictures that were not curated in the past.
 
I guess this is the same for many (all?) other members, would be nice if this could be resolved. The last post on this issue dates 4 months and still no answer nor solution?

The "Sent to curator" option for those pictures sent to "Monthly Theme" does not appear the the menu of the Clog Wheel of the picture but is available under the "Edit picture details"
