Are there any Funny photographers on this Site I ask myself...

Do you have a funny photographuc story ? Or a Joke about photographers

If you have - then this is the place for you to test the water as they say - I will start the ball rolling.

I Have a Dream

I have a dream here today that every photographer on this site will have an image published.

Yes I have a dream no matter what the image - black or white or even coloured it will be published.

I have a dream that all photographers will be equal no matter what camera equipment they have - even Nikon users.. yes I know hard to swallow for some - But this must be the way.

For in this land of photographic Art we are all equal with one goal - As we lift our eyes towards the heavens and pray the curators will smile on us - Yes we all have a Dream

Here is a funny little improvised photoshoot in my kitchen. My lovely model is posing nude, but sorry she didn't shave!

A small jumping spider descended from the ceiling on its wire, and landed on a pan lid.

These small spiders (5 mm) have a very observant behavior, and a very developed sight. Here we can see it discovering its own reflection on the stainless steel surface of the lid. She was very cooperative.

A gift fallen from the sky for a photographer!

The Rabbit & The Snake

A blind rabbit and a blind snake where moving through the jungle when they bumped into each other “ who are you”  said the rabbit and at the same time “ who are you “ said the snake. Both said they were blind and did not know that they were.

So, the snake said let me feel you all over and I will tell you what you are and you can do the same for me. Ok said the rabbit - so the snake started to feel all over the rabbit “covered in fur - big long ears - buck teeth and bob tail “You’re a Rabbit. So the rabbit jumped with glee “I’m A Rabbit “

Now you do the same for me said the snake – So the rabbit move it to feel the body of the snake “ You are some kind of powerful reptile that may have squeezed the life out of many photographers causing them a lot of pain – “ You are a head curator for 1x.com “ Hee Hee

Flies in a pint

A Canon user, a Sony user and a Nikon user wander into a little old pub in London. They each ask the barman for a pint of Beer. After the pints are placed onto the bar, three bluebottles drop into each man’s freshly poured pint.

The Canon user pushes his pint away in disgust and orders up another. The Sony user reaches in and plucks the fly out.

The Nikon user reaches in, picks the fly out, holds it up close to his face and shouts, “Spit it out you little bas..td.”  Hee Hee

Ordering a pint

Can I have a pint of Beer and a packet of crisps Please...

‘Oh. You must be a Nikon user she replied. The man was evidently offended and responded, ‘The cheek, just because I order a pint of Beer you assume I’m a Nikon user -  If I ordered a bowl of pasta would you that make me Italian?!’

‘No’ she replied. ‘But this is a newsagents…’

Dear Mike,

for some years now in Italy newsagents are also found inside small stores, as it has always been for Tabaccherie. That time, due to distraction, I mistook the wrong entrance, they were next to each other... I asked the newsagent if he had matches...  :-)

An Nikon user is struggling to find a parking space.

"Lord," he prayed. "I can't stand this. If you open a space up for me, I swear I'll give up the Drinking and go to mass every Sunday."

Suddenly, the clouds part and the sun shines on an empty parking spot.

Without hesitation, the Nikon user says: "Never mind, I found one!"

To redress the balance for poor Nikon owners, here is an article about what your cameras says about you... read it over at Shutterfinger as the text here is displayed dark for some unknown reason.

What Your Choice of Camera Says About You

Just as the clothes you choose to wear, the food you like to eat, and the people you associate with say something about you, so does the camera system you buy into. The following observations are based on close association with the various groups of camera owners and from having belonged to each group at one time or another. Those who belong to the “lacking any sense of humor” or “offended at the drop of a hat” groups are strongly advised to read no further.

Canon owners
You appreciate the benefits of owning a camera system that leads in cutting-edge digital imaging technology and that offers a wealth of body, lens, and accessory options for every level of photographer, from lowly consumer to top professional. You will switch to Nikon.

Nikon owners
You appreciate the benefits of owning a camera system that leads in cutting-edge digital imaging technology and that offers a wealth of body, lens, and accessory options for every level of photographer, from lowly consumer to top professional. You will switch to Canon.

Sony owners
You believe that Sony’s innovations in consumer electronics and video technology, its leadership in digital imaging chip production, its in-body image stabilization, and its use of Zeiss optics results in a unique design synergy and products of exceptional value—because that’s what it says in the product literature. You also believe in astrology, UFOs and the Easter Bunny.

Pentax owners
You’re the sort of person who would buy a $1500 DSLR body so your stash of thread-mount, K-mount and M-mount lenses from decades ago (collectively worth $75.00 at a flea market or yard sale) won’t go to waste; either that, or you’ve never heard of a Spotmatic, Pentax LX or Takumar, you just think you look cool sporting a day-glo red camera that takes real pictures. You think people are laughing with you, not at you.

Olympus owners
You’re the sort of person who buys North Korean beer, Peruvian underwear, and French computers, not  because you actually like them but because no one else does. When people question your choice of camera system you respond that Olympus images have a certain “soul” and that photographs are what matter, not the camera. You have no friends.

Leica owners
You know that no other camera other than a Hasselblad gains as much instant respect among the cognoscenti as a Leica. Although this relieves the pressure of demonstrating actual photographic prowess, it increases the need to be familiar with the subtle differences in visual signature between an Elmar, Elmarit, Summitar, Summicron, and Summilux. You are either stinking rich, living in your mother’s basement, or one lens purchase away from a divorce.

Panasonic, Fuji, Samsung, Minolta, Yashica owners and et cetera should be relieved rather than offended that they were not included. Comments are welcome as long as they are civil. Extra points will be given for self-deprecation.

Photographers are (generally) funny people who come up with funny ideas and funny solutions to funny problems. Kinda funny, huh?

Take the first wildlife photographers of Richard and Cherry Kearton. Back in the 19th century, they had no long telephoto lenses, motor drives or auto focus technology. So they built fake animals to get closer to their subjects. Richard even fainted whilst in his fake cow. His brother took an hour to find him, then took a few minutes longer to take his picture before finally rescuing him.

Like I said, photographers are afunny bunch...

Every night, an Nikon user walks into a bar and orders three shots of whiskey.

He downs each shot, pays the barman, and leaves.
The bartender eventually asks him why he always drinks exactly three shots.
“It’s one for me and one for each of my brothers,” he tells the bartender. “One is in America and the other is in Australia, and we do this to feel like we’re all still drinking together.”

A month later the Nikon user only orders two shots of whiskey.
“Oh no,” says the barman. “I’m sorry for your loss. Was it the one in America or Australia?”

“What?” The Nikon user looks puzzled, then glances at the whiskey glasses. No, it’s nothin’ like that. It’s just that I’ve decided to stop drinking.”
