Let me invite you to participate in the next Black & White group competition.

 

......... The theme is " D E T A I L " ................

 

The deadline for this competition is on SUNDAY, February, the 2nd.

 

Looking forward your participation.

 

Rules:

 

1. You can submit one B&W picture to this competition.

2. Your submission to the competition will be accepted after uploading your and then placing a link in this thread. You can create this link from the group gallery or from your own gallery.

3. The winner will be announced in this thread within three days after the deadline of each competition.

5. Every winner will be awarded. There are several possible awards which include, selection for the Featured Photos Gallery, chosen as Logo for the B and W Group, or receiving extra uploads to the B/W gallery. The type of awards will be announced at the end of each competition. In some instances a winner may be asked to select the next winner for another competition.

I had the idea from all things that go wrong about us on whatever level (criminality, abuse, waste, robbery, poverty, …) and people passing by without caring or reacting.

with this in mind i took this shot as a symbolic statement about much more than shown in the photo.

so, this is a detail, but is it really a detail ?

mmm that's not detail, that freaking 3D, nice work Herbert!!! I have looked at that ceiling many times going through Frankfurt, but never seen it presented this way :-) now for the 3d part just look at it about 60cm away from your monitor and cross your eyes slowly adjusting them you will see what I mean :-)

Let me announce the winner of our latest competition.

 

It was not easy to decide this time because every one could understand this theme differently and there was no explanation in the guidelines about what should be accepted as a detail or not and also how should a picture presenting detail look like.

We received many wonderful entries to the theme.

 

The winner is the "THIRD TRY" by NIHAD OMEROVIC

Nihad's image shows an interesting detail and also telling some story, maybe a bit funny one. Love how the crooked nails interact with the successful one.

They even provoke my imagination to see an expression in their "faces"..:)

A goal is a simple and clear composition here.

 

Nihad's image will be placed to the featured pphotos gallery and Nihad will get 10 extra uploads tot the B/W gallery.
