I would love to know if my composite gives a good impression or is it way off??
The intention was clearly making the model stand as a silhouette in the backlit sun. But since it was summertime and high noon the light outside was way to hard to reduce.
Therefor I would like to make another impression/mood.
I postprocessed in Lightroom CC and afterwards in Photoshop creating these 2 images to become a composite.
I have also tweeked the curves in order to make these metallic colours.
Shot with Nikon d850
The model was shot in an abandoned office building in Denmark 2022.
The Aurora Borealis was shot this spring 2024 in Denmark
Thanks for sharing your image with us. The colorful background is distracting the viewer's attention. I would probably try to put a white fabric to the door and shoot the model infront of white background.
Hope this helps.

Lotte,
An unusual image. Thank you for posting in Critique Forum.
The image is dramatic and eye-catching. It could have been an album cover in the era of psychedelic rock music.
It's difficult to offer suggestions without knowing what impression you want the photo to give. The title, 'Silhouette', tells viewers what they can see for themselves, and doesn't shed any light on the photo's theme or mood. The setting looks 'urbex' with the model posing in what looks like a rundown building. The background is a city scene distorted by photo filters. The Aurora Borealis sky is beautiful. The overall impression feels 'post apocalyptic' to me. Others may see something different.
If you could write a bit more about the photo it would be helpful. Thank you.

When I first looked at the photo, my eyes were confused... but when I saw your description, it became clearer.
I would concentrate on the black silhouette of the model and the aura borealis. The background, which looks very digitally distorted, doesn't match the other ‘natural’ elements of the picture.
Sometimes ‘less is more’. But that's just my personal opinion.
Alternatively, as a complete black and white photo, which then lets the sky recede into the background.
