[In this pointless, colorless world,
I could see hope just ahead, in a single drop of water.
It may be beyond my dreams, but to me,
that seemed to be the meaning of life.]
Hi Noriiida,
This is such a terrifically composed photograph. The placement of the droplet, the clarity of the tiny reflected flower, the subtle textures of the petals, it all draws the viewer in beautifully. But for me, where the magic gets lost is in the selective coloring. Removing the greens takes away from the natural harmony that would have made this scene feel even more alive and authentic. I would definitely try uploading this image again in full color. It truly is fantastic, and I think the full palette would let the emotional impact shine through.
All the best,
Tammy

I agree this person nailed it on the head in my opinion
I did give a critique on this already but I was unable to attach a photograph when I did so. I will attach one here which will illustrate what I was saying earlier.
Hello noriiida. Thank you for posting this water droplet image in this forum.
You are asking for ways to improve this image. Personally, I think that the crop format you chose allow for too much negative space, so I would choose a format where the floral image takes up most of the room.
Also, it is possible that the Selective colouring choice did not go well with some curators. It is not something that everyone likes.
So I took your image into Nik Color Efex pro and used the Detail Enhancer and Tonal Contrast filters to enhance both details and contrast. Then in Photoshop, I adjusted the Levels a little and crop the image in a landscape 4x6 format.
I hope these suggestions are helpful to you.
