### Title

Chaotic City

### Description

The photo was taken in Harajuku, Tokyo. I looked at the street through a wall covered with many mirrors. The complex lines, shapes, and distorted images of the cityscape mixed together to form a chaos that left a strong impression on me.

### Technical Detail

FUJIFILM X-T4

XF16-55mm F2.8

ISO160 | 55mm | F8.0 | 1/125s
Editing Lightroom Classic

### What to ask for in a critique

I would like to know how to enhance the impact of an abstract photo, and what improvements I can make in pursuit of the awarded.

Also I would like to know if you have any ideas for mood, color, composition, contrast, etc.

Thanks for your corporation.

Hello, @ Mag

Welcome to our forum and thank you for posting your image. Before pursuing with your image, l want to say that I also like these mirror walls.it is though not easy to capture good images using them. I hope you will succeed in your quest for the awarded category. Looking at some parts separately, I can make out different shapes and even faces.it is like a jigsaw puzzle. The zebra lines are very eye catching. So, my first suggestionwould be trying your hand at a black and white conversion. I would also advice you to boost the contrast. Let's try deep black and white. This would also bring the shadows more into view. While giving advice on the black while I still look at the unifying diversity of the image. That's really something Mag. This alone should actually be carrying you to be published.. I do not know what my colleagues will say. This is my personal idea. As I said there is a liking for these type of views on my side. Have good light... Cicek Kiral S C

Thank you very much!! The monochrome approach and the contrast and shadow adjustments were helpful with ideas I would like to try.

Hello Mag

Welcome back to the forum and thank you for sharing this creative image with wonderful patterns. I totally agree with Cicek's suggestion to convert the photo to black and white. As it is rather complex I thought cropping the image might simplify it a little, and I have also rotated it to a vertical format. Whatever edits you decide on, I'm sure the photo has a great potential and I wish you all the best.
