This is a photo capturing a young man walking in the summer breeze. On platforms like 1x.com, where superficial techniques don’t work, and natural expression is essential, would it be better to avoid finishing the piece with added frames? I’ll post both versions, with and without frames. I’d appreciate it if you could take a look and share your thoughts.
Hi and welcome back good looking gritty street image love the txture and moody shadows well captured. Does it stand a chance in selection maybe on a good day if there is such a thing. I did try a few ideas to lift it a little more in the impact department. - Nok Tools Tonal contrast - Some dodge tool work - Small crop left and right. Topaz AI sharpen with noise reduction. Clones out the ghosting around hs trousers thank you for sharing.. Opened up the shadows +50
Thank you so much for your suggestions and feedback!

I’ll definitely work on the points you’ve mentioned:
Your suggestions have given me a clearer path to improving this photo, and I’m excited to see how these changes will enhance its appeal. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback, and I’d be happy to hear more from you in the future!
Hello Tatsuya
Thank you for sharing your street photo of a walking man with us. I believe it's written in the FAQs that borders/frames are not allowed, although we do sometimes see them in the published gallery. Daniel has already given you excellent advice so I am just offering a slightly different option for you to consider. I haven't opened up the shadows but I have tried to highlight the figure a little more against the dark areas of the background. I think the composition is fine with space in front of the figure.
Good light, Elizabeth
Hello Elizabeth,
Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback and suggestions. I’ll make sure to keep the point about borders and frames mentioned in the FAQs in mind for future submissions. Your approach of further highlighting the subject against the dark areas of the background is a perspective I hadn’t considered before, and I found it very insightful.
Hello, Tatsuya
Welcome to our forum. Thanks to my friends they fave you spot on advice. I just want to add too that. Please, be aware of the compositional rules and cropping. Do not crop at the limbs and joints of a body whether human or not and close to the limbs and joints. Its a common ground acceoted compositional rule although you might not come to hear or read it often. I wish you good light...Cicek
Hello, Cicek,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful advice! I hadn’t paid much attention to cropping rules before, so your insights are incredibly helpful. Moving forward, I’ll make sure to be mindful of avoiding cuts near the limbs and joints when framing my shots.
Your advice has motivated me to enjoy photography even more.
Thanks again!
Tatsuya
I re-curated it.
