Taken on my way back from a holiday to Skye this February. My aim was to capture the castle in a way which set it apart from all the traditional postcard shots that had originally inspired me to visit it. Not shooting from the traditional car park spot certainly helped!
This is not a HDR like some have expected, but by using a ND Grad filter I had nothing more to do in Photoshop than adjust the levels of the sea and sky to really bring out depth.
Yellow hues were then desaturated to make the castle look less like a tourist trap and more like a gothic haunt.
