We were traveling in the South Pacific to the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. The Festival of the Pacific Arts was going on in American Samoa, so we decided to attend. Fire spinning is a traditional art form that began in the Samoan Islands. It is still practiced today by many native Samoans. We just used our Canon 5D and available light from the stage lights to capture the image.
