I applaud your work and echo all of the praise below! I do have one question. Do you still have the colour version? I'm thinking given the quality of the subject composition maybe you didn't need to convert in order to add extra 'gravitas'..

Thanks for your very nice words. I understand your remark on the color original. Before posting it here, several photo friends have seen both versions and there was really no clear preference. Some preferred the B/W, others the color. So I had to make a choice. Could maybe be an idea for the Critique Forum: to present from the same image a color and B/W version...
