I love California poppies! They grew all over the hillsides in Chile (South America), where I grew up, and they are a sort of symbol for Summer to me.

I've seen it again, mentioned in forum, it was a surprise for me to see that I didn't commented on it. You know, Ursula, I'm not really fond by flower pictures, probably because are so many of them that are far from what they should be. This is one of my all time favorites, and not only between the flowers pictures! The light, the colours, the softness...everything is just great! Outstanding work! Love it!

I always like it when people use color in their photos. I wonder why so many people decide to make B&W pictures, when colors can be so beautiful.

Ursula I Abresch Thank you. I am much more familiar to working in colour, but I like both colour and B&W photography. I think B&W is traiditionally the more usual medium for art photography, and that likely is why so many people decide to go in that direction.

A surrealistic image, dreamlike with "unreal" or enhanced colours. I also like the diagonal composition that adds movement together with the blur in the lower part. I really like it.

I love the lighting in your shots (this one, other flowers, abstract shapes)! How do you do that?

Ursula I Abresch Thank you! Pretty much all are natural light, usually diffused sunlight. I have a flash (SB600), but I haven't quite figured out how to use it (working on it). I like colour very much.

Magnifique! I always love those translucent colors! Also, you could have called it RGB since you have here the three primary colors of light

Good "LIGHT".

Ursula I Abresch Thank you. The light is natural (from a window, photo made indoors), but I used a small gold reflector to throw a bit of light onto the backside of the flower.
