Thanks for you comments - and appreciating this exposure nightmare. A huge metal shop (it was shot at www.kvm.dk - look at the size of the things they build) with flourescent lighting 7-10 meters above and the insanely bright arc from the welding. Add to this a combination of rather slow sparks (orange) and insanely fast sparks (blue), and you got yourself a worst-case-scenario for a photographer. It was shot at the rather odd settings of F/2.8, 1/2000s and ISO 400 in order to get it just the way I wanted it. Thankfully, I worked with a very patient model!

Having someone appreciate all this trouble makes it all worthwhile. Sorry for any bad grammar/spelling/choice of words. I'm danish :)

I've taken a few grinding and welding shots in our workshop, I know haw hard it is to get the exposure right, this is great. cool title to. mal
