Growing up on the Gulf Coast of Florida lightning storms are almost a daily occurrence. Now of course this is not the case in Southern California. So when I happen to hear the rumbling of a thunder storm approaching on late night in August of 2008. I jumped up grabbed my camera and headed out to the beach. Where for 3 hours I sat patiently and shot one long exposure after another just hoping to capture something, and what I got was truly an amazing and rare moment.
