it takes a great eye to see this Gerard, I salute you.

cheers, Dennis
gerard sexton  Hi Dennis thank you for such a grand compliment. I have lost count of the times I have captured this scene yet this is the first time that everything was in place. The best light is the winter light coming from behind or almost west & at this low angle. Then you need a sky this was immediately after a violent downpour. I guess I got lucky.
Dennis Binda  You're too modest. The fact that you've been over and over this shot makes the idea of what you really want grow in your mind. If you try long enough you'll get it done at some point. This has nothing to do with luck. To me this is the difference between photography and just taking pictures.
gerard sexton  Dennis taking your last point I agree I dream of certain images in and around London and pursue them. For me this is the thrill & provides a purposeful outlet for my inexhaustible energy! I saw your Kingfisher shot and have these birds regularly in my dreams. I sat for 30mins or so watching a bird unnoticed if only I had a camera though the light may have eventually been too low to make anything of what was on offer. An other time I know will present itself.

Gerry, Every time I see an image that has the Eye in it.. I cannot help but want to be there inside one of the little cars and of course to have the view. Is the whole of this shot a reflection? Great title BTW..clever mind you have. You caught just enough clearance of the sky to make it all come together wonderfully. Congrats to you. Phyllis
gerard sexton  No just the left side. I took a series of shots in and around this place on that day but this happens to be the soul survivor from screening. Thanks for you compliment about the title as well! Have a smashing weekend.

Not an easy shot to compose for I would think Gerard, but this does look terrific, more so in mono less distractions
gerard sexton  Yes in b&w it works well shooting the North Sky always gives more detail just enough for this scene! Thank you Les.
