The picture shows the refractory shop inside a steel melt shop in which the ladles getting revamped. After a couple of heats the refractory needs to be renewed. For this the still hot ladle will be attached to a tilting device and brought in to a horizontal position. Now an excavator with a huge hydraulic chisel will remove all the collected slag and old refractory. The slag and old material will be collected in a pit below the tilting device. At the time the pit is full a huge excavator will load all the material on a dump truck like shown on the image. This develops a lot of dust which is hot and really not nice.
