Light snack

A fox taken at approximately 13:40 hrs. I think it is presenting me with a a small snack; perhaps & something those with cats as pets are familiar with but strange nonetheless as it happened on two other occasions! This was taken at cricket ground in London I have probably 200 frames of the same fox taken throughout that season. Were it any closer I wouldn't have been able to focus & moving back would have been out of the question sometimes it came within 4 feet of me!

I'm not as impressed as the others
I think there is too little air in front of the head and close cropping of ears
the black line that goes through the neck in the background is also not so good
sharpness, I also missing
when it is said that the situation is good

gerard sexton I totally agree though sometimes these apparent imperfections can be understood & accepted when you realise where this was taken & that you I know will probably never ever see see a fox in daylight at this time of day in such perfect light let alone with a bird in its mouth. I would normally not be so dismissive of feedback of any form but don't you think you are being somewhat melee mouthed & rather unrealistic? So I really am at a loos to see what is the point of your feedback?

keller it's probably not unrealistic of it can be sharply
and it could be cropped better

gerard sexton Thank you Nicolas. Yes they are pretty common and this fox is sort of a celebrity for its bold excursions onto the field of play while the match is underway!

Great photo and an interesting story behind the image. He must be loving the cricket - maybe he gets fed some pies and fries at other times?

gerard sexton Guido yes it often lunched on the publics leftovers sad that the animals thrive on humans disdain for the environment! Thank you my friend.

You should start feeding it cricket balls then if you don't want it to come any closer.......

gerard sexton ...many of the ground staff and perhaps the committee would probably have done it did very little harm apart from pooing and peeing in public places and digging up the outfield in places. It also helped to keep the pigeon population at bay well marginally.

gerard sexton Well hardly could not have perched on the boundary rope! The frustration here is that the images shot were never aesthetically perfect always something detracted even here the background is hardly ideal. I may pull the others together as a series as then it may work as a collection rather than a solo image. Thanks anyway Colmar do have a nice weekend.
