Great image here!
However, I was wondering : the light on the trees is a soft light coming from the right, and the light on the bird is a strong direct sunlight coming from above... ? There isn't any shadows like this on the ground and such a light would have created huge sunrays through the fog. ^^

Great shot. Can you give us the background on this? I can't tell for sure, but that appears to be a gannet, which is a pelagic (open ocean) species. They nest on cliffs, and their typical association with land would not be a forest. If not a gannet, then I still make it as an ocean bird. Is this an ocean cliff-side forest, or has the bird been digitally dropped in?
Marc Apers  Glad you like it ! In fact it's a so called "red tailed tropicbird", shot taken in "La Réunion" . And as a scientist you surely know the answer on your question. Thanks !

I was thinking it might be a tropicbird, and now that you point it out, rather than being just a notion, it seems obvious (to a birder, that is, even in the absence of a visible tail streamer). I so often wish for more information on pictures, particularly nature/landscape/wildlife. It's probably just me being a natural history nerd, but this picture comes alive an extra notch or two with the info: "red-tailed tropicbird on reunion island."
