Raphael, This is what my grandmother's bedroom looked like - the cross and the virgin...and delicate colors. Her face for me is filled with a life of a little of this, and a little of that..but overall a good life. Your picture makes me want to meet her, her face is as beautiful as her inner life seems to be. I also cannot help seeing that she is looking at you with love in her eyes. It is the way I would look at one of my children.:) Congratulations. Phyllis

Very well done.
Starting by the strong presence of the hands, with that beautiful smile and with both painting and crucifix complementing the background.

oh. Wow. First picture I saw when I joined about two minutes ago and I am impressed. Excellent expression, genuine expression. This very simple picture tells a story ( I know, how cliche'--but how else to explain?) I think whoever took the picture, the person she was looking at, was certainly someone she cared for. But there's some sadness, too? A mixture of regret, or longing---complicated yet simple. I don't know, it has an aura, a mood. I love, love, love it! Great job. I know I am very bubbly and effusive...hopefully you guys will get used to that!!!!
