Unfortunately, I had an acute medical problem soon after posting this image and haven't been able to use the computer for some time. Imagine my surprise and thrill when I got back onto the internet to find I had my first image published on this site.
Thank you all so much for your kind comments, gives one inspiration to keep going and I feel very honoured when I look and see the quality of images of the many artists who have been published. Thank you.

Netherlands where I live is increasingly within reach of wolves. They are now the Netherlands at around one hundred kilometers approached. The mammals that this association has published can not predict if and when the wolves will achieve Netherlands.

I wonder if I will ever get to see one.

You already told everything in your description to the photo, Paul.
Physical beauty, stealth, agility, alertness and that predatory look all comes perfectly together in this beautiful shot.
Also love the pose of the wolf, coming down hill, very much.
Excellent square composition with a wonderful diagonal line from top right to bottom left.
