classy stuff wings ;-) exposure and DOF all just so. And great subject matter and story. Nice.
Wings  JBA reading your words is touching. I know there's no guns in this one. No confrontation. Just my sissy photography But it is real and only three frames fired off. this was the second. The third was security and it wasn't as good.
Congratulation Wings, great moment / photo !
Have a nice day,
cheers
Wings  Thanks Man.

This isn't 'street'!!!! You are inside ;^) I think your new $50 lens is what made this shot. Congrats. B
Wings  Bob you are so right. shot this sitting on my ass and with a $49 dollar second hand lens made in 1990.
It is an out focus lens slow but just perfect for people and the review on the lens says its tac sharp all over and at f 3.3 they can't see why it was forgotten. I think its a great deal and will continue to shoot sitting down and discover the new American culture.

That little girl peering through to see makes this special. The similarity in her head gear and his hair adds to this ... as if they are related:)
Wings  I wish then I would have had more story telling images. He cam in and asked to sit next to me. Being the man I am I siad sure. Then he moved. The nerve of him.:) But it offered shots. The man was on his last dime and the looks of his art was child like in skills. It was saddening, he said it relives tension to draw. I replied. I agree. I thought it would be fun to shoot with the second hand 49 dollar lens at f 3.3 and see how much noise it makes. Well this lens produces a little noise. But not enough. In fact you don't identify that the noise is from a camera.

The girl was well dress and her mom sported a diamond ring. The star bucks is in the tribecca are in New york. his area has money. The child did come on but never got close enough to make that shot nor was there any interaction in side she wanted to look but you know the story parents say to children.. Never talk to strangers. What I saw I loved and it did choke me up, and that's when I snapped away.
Andre du Plessis  So good to hear the events around the image, and what prompted you to capture this. It answers many questions that we would have liked to ask, and adds to the enjoyment of this image. Thanks!

Pleasing scene that is well captured. The faces in the window really make this & add to the mystery of what might be on the drawing board.

You have this wonderful ability to prick my imagination into creating a short story about your shots. Those three watching faces are a real delight and the child's interest in the drawing, rather than the camera, is a real joy
Wings  Well now you see something about me. No story no shot. Life is more than a pretty Kodak image. No feeling and I go to sleep behind the camera. I use to critique but they get cut by people that don't understand my style of teaching so you have t look in my journals.

the girl behind the window gives salt and pepper to this amaxing moment
Wings  yes that is right and as I shot I wasn't sure 1x would get it. Shooting from the z axis can be more fun than most know about.
