Amazing image Chris I imagine you had fun creating this? My kind of abstract mysterious yet so visually appealing. It says so much about physics too how the circles are so perfect! Fine work my friend congratulations on another publication.
Chris Dixon  Gerry,

yes it was fun but afterwards I had to get back to the washing up as Mal instructed...."now get back to washing the dishes not photographing the dish water".

:-)

Cheers Chris
gerard sexton  Yeah I saw his remark isn't he just so funny!
Chris Dixon  funny....but oh so true :-)

Quite abstract
no idea of what it is !!!
but the result is quite interesting
congrats !!!!
Chris Dixon  Frank,

I think you might be right.....sometimes a picture just takes you to a different place without having to be something specific.

I was just playing with oil and water, and a bit of light, and this image was created, for me it has a sort of Star Trek Deep Space feel but for others who knows.

Anyway thanks for you comment and for adding it to your favorites

Cheers Chris
FrankBa  Fully agree with the concept of space here
some planets and satellite
that was really my first feeling here

Just a little oil and water? No, also a lot of imagination, very good light, interesting technique and a deep knowledge; the result: a superb picture.

Very cool abstract Chris! I have no idea how you made it =)
Chris Dixon  Ralf,

many thanks...all done with mirrors :-)

Actually it was a glass of water sitting on an LED torch and a few drops of olive oil. Then a lot of playing about to get the right sized bubbles in the right place. I might even write it up in the "How I took that shot" posts

Thanks again...and oh by the way the book arrived yesterday, I keep looking at it :-)....you guys must have fun selecting the shots for publication

Congratulations Chris! Bright and lively is this oil and water abstract :) My best, Phyllis
Chris Dixon  Phyllis,

many thanks. It did take a little while to get the right combination of colour and brightness, but, as I said in one of my earlier posts it did while away a rainy day

Many thanks

I read somewhere earlier today that you wanted to get another flash (in reply to David N's post). Was just thinking What is Chris getting up to? when this appears. Wonderfully different from you, and quite amazing what a 'just a bit of oil and water' can become.
Chris Dixon  Andre,

the additional flash is so that I can start playing with portraits. Then this goes and gets accepted just using the inbuilt flash on the camera....

I'm glad you like the different style...I think its looking and admiring too many abstracts on 1x.
