It seems a little bit unaproppriate for me the association of a comunist symbol with a capitalist one (the city from background). It may suggest that she comes from far away Russia with the magic train to meet her lover in a US city. But it is a little exageration here. Without the symbol, the scene would suggest a time travel. The beloved one comes from the past to meet her lover. It might be his dream about a character from a love story visiting him from the past. The mist suggests the atemporality. Her clothes and the train might belong to the past and his clothes and the city from background definitely belongs to present.
