STUPID Comments from members during screening:
poorly exposed, no depth, washed out color (except for the window). Background on the left is distracting. Don't really understand what's happening or the point that's being made.

ha and yess this comment is deleted by the 1x staff.. censure thx

Not sure why you're so bitter... it was published.
benoit paille  about the 2 other in the same series not published.... 1x is so random ... and its impossible to have a consistent series in the site .. to random choice
Moxx  I'm glad to hear that from you. I know my photos aren't exactly up to scratch, but at least this confirms what I was thinking.

I would love to see the portfolio of the people posting that kind of comments.. :)

I'm not sure if it's good form to post comments as "stupid" (even though do I agree that comments can be stupid). I agree the colors look washed out and I kinda don't get the picture... I mean, I'm 89% there but not a 100%. Anyway...let people have their opinion and just speak poorly of them behind their backs...as God intended.

I dont understand the comment about not understanding what's happening :-D the story seems pretty obvious and nicely told, and yeah I can understand your feelings about the comments.. still, just marking them stupid and posting it here is kinda humiliating, not the best solution either.. u could have explained why u don't agree with them coz those people who wrote them obviously don't see it.. (just a suggestion)
poorly exposed? i don't think there is any place in the photo where u wouldn't be able to make out details in the dark tones and since this is supposed to be an evening picture (although u probably shot it in daylight, sorry if i'm mistaken), what are u expecting sunlight?
washed out color: which one of you people can see colours in the dark? i say u still see more colors here than u would in reality in an evening hour
etc..

well i'm really sorry for the possibly stupid comment :-)))
anyway, u did a really nice job, like it

I like this image because its different. BUT... there are a few people on 1x who become so obsessed about technical deatail they forget to look at the picture with an open mind. Some people need to look beyond the iso, f/stop camera model/ lighting and just look at the image as a picture taken by someone else that proberly has a completely differnt view as what makes a photograph. This to me is a brilliant site, with some fantastic photographers, great forums and interesting people, but like everwhere else there are a few people who only like a certain type of image and anything outside that box confuses them.

Regards Richard

This is a nice shot, and I think that you are correct. There are a lot of comments here during screening that are out of line. People are trying so hard sometimes to comment it gets ridiculous.
This is a good photograph and the colors are just right.

I like your work, but don't think you're too good to get any critic. Nobody, ever, is too good for critic... You're the one being stupid, I'm sorry to say.
Lars Holmgaard  I totally agree with you.

You got it published so you should be happy. I'm not one of the so called stupids but reading what you wrote I'd be pleased to be one of them...

I didn't see this photo in screeneng, just now i see and I like it !!
But... "STUPID Comments from members during screening"?? I think that everyone say what think about a photo, is just a personal thought, is not stupid. I hope that is not a stupid comment also my.
Anyway, my compliments for the photo.

I like the concept, congratulations.
Having said so (and I didn't vote for or against it) I think you should remove your comment about the "STUPID" comments.
This is not what 1x is about.

Luis

Brilliantly exposed, so much depth, colours so appropriate and evocative. Background on left adds to the mystery and perplexity.

The cold night, and the warm light that beckons only for some - while others wish...A wonderful way to show this sensitive subject. Congratulations. Phyllis
