Was this shot from the ground? Did the plane pass low? Is this what 400mm can achieve?

Peter Walmsley Yes, this was shot from the ground Yakov. The plane came past a few hundred feet above the ground and then put the afterburners on to climb and as it did so, it also banked to the left. I had the Nikkor lens at the full 400mm. There are quite a few negative reports about the slowness of the autofocus on this lens but if you can live with that, I've found that its clarity is superb as this picture demonstrates. Oh, I had a polariser on too. Many thanks for the compliment!
