Alexander Kharlamov It's not poor photoshoping, it's by far great use of it because the shadows are right, light and even dof is respected. Call poor photoshoping to those who make wax looking skin on portraits or apply hdr plugins to get ion glowing landscapes after a nuclear disaster...

Jernej Lasic The only thing photoshopped is the boombox in the background. No photoshopping has been done on the dog.
The dog was running after a tennis ball and fell... i just happen to get it on camera.

Again, the only thing photoshopped is the boombox in the background...
Clonetool was not used on the dog.

Romanas N. Well, that is my only argument against the quality of editing. The boombox is theoretically too big, and the leg in front of it just doesnt blend in. Shouldve worked a bit more hard.
Overall, a very nice idea.

Alexander Kharlamov Thanks for the info, that explains why the dog's shadow is so perfect...its just real. ;)

Romanas N. True, however the author had some problems that are too apparent with the dogs leg that shows in front of the stereo. Not to mention the size of the stereo (I have a dog like that one, once you know the size of it, you realize just how enormous the ctereo is).
Still, that's my opinion, you can of course disagree.

Alexander Kharlamov The merging of the motion blur on the leg with the BG could be better, but it's bitching when you point that as an terrible error regarding the composition as the whole. You must first learn how to use photoshop to be able to point errors, learn what's easy and what's not. Altough this work is great by the idea, I believe the concept and message is the hardest milestone in photography.

Romanas N. I've never said it was a bad composition - the work is great! Just that as soon as I noticed the, again, poor photoshoping - and it really is unfinished - my enthusiasm droped. It doesn't mean the composition is bad, it just means that this work isn't all that good when looking at the technical part. At this point I believe it is right to say that both, technical part and the idea/composition make a great photo. Others, especially those who don't frequently use editing software, might not notice it, but, well, I have.
The technical part is different in each work - in some cases lack of technical perfection makes for a good photo, but I believe this is not the case and the author should've been more carefull with post processing in order for the people to actually wonder if this is a creative edit, or a real deal. As for now, I'm far away from wondering.

Romanas N. And that was just mean. I understand you like this peace of work, but I've also always thought that 1x is a place for critique with arguments, which I gave.
