... moonchild
full frame, out of the box. one light with golden reflector from right.the processing here is a tritone processing, sepia, light chalk yellow and dark brown. all used in a channel mixer layer.some of you may think that the lights on the skin are blown out. there is some structure, just for the web version. the final version is a print, 30x40 cm on hahnemühle photorag fine art paper. the structure of the paper gives the last finish to that picture.I hope you'll like it.

More balance than "high-key" but the best of both (right of nose could use more definition but perhaps, as you suggest, that's coming through in the prints). FYI am currently printing large format (44" wide) on the Hahnemühle William Turner 310 gsm textured with striking results. Good clarity throughout; imho eyes shouldn't be preternaturally focused.

Vernon Trent  thanks for your comment, glad you like it :)
I love this so much. I look at it often. :)
I wonder if you could do a tutorial on printing? Paper, size of file, etc.
It is a little overwhelming- no a lot.
When you have time -lol I know everyone would be so delighted.

Gorgeous - I would love to learn more about the tri-toning process you mentioned.
Vernon Trent  I'll post a tutorial about toning. :-))
G. Phillips  Vernon, I'd really appreciate a link to a tutorial on toning using channel mixer. I have used it for b/w conversions, but not for any toning work. Thanks!
Vernon Trent  well, I have to write one.
as soon I get some spare time will post one in the article forum.
G. Phillips  I'd really appreciate it. Are you aware of any texts that have instructions on toning using channel mixer?

I am happy to have such a skilled portrait phoyographer on the site! Yes, it's a little blown out in the right side of the face but that doesn't matter too much since the eye is perfect!

Beautiful tones...I'd love to see it on paper--it probably gives those highlights a little texture, no? Nice work.
