Andreas Wonisch Sven, thanks! The colors are more or less like I experienced them standing there. In order to achieve that I used two different white balances for the sky (colder) and the dunes (warmer). It was a very windy and cloudy day, so the sunset colors came out very nicely.

thank you (and everyone else who commented) for your nice welcome! :) I tried five or so different photos before and had already pretty much given up but then thought this picture might have a chance in screening. ;-) I am really glad that it worked out (since the quality standard here is really amazing).
