This site is endangered from overdevelopment. More resorts and homes are invading this national forest land right up to the slopes. They can't just let be what we all clearly see.

Gorgeous sky and the light is perfect! I've been to Sedona a couple of times, and can't believe how developed this very special place is. There doesn't appear to be an end in sight to further development which would be truly sad is this is true.

I had the VERY same reaction when I visited Sedona a couple of years ago. Most unusual to see that much development that close to something so naturally beautiful!!

Very nice shot of a beautiful scene.

Vibro1 I went back this year to see the area and I had trouble finding spots without houses in the FOV. One house was on top of a small butte. Superstition mountain is also ruined (sic).

Wow, are those colours real? :)

Vibro1 Monsoons in Arizona can have amazing colors at sunsets especially with the red rock in the Sedona area. This is shot along the weather front and I have earlier shots with much brighter yellow-white clouds and more of Mt Courthouse and Mt Lee off the left of this shot. Was an exciting 15 minutes to witness.

Vibro1 Apocalyptic is a great impression. Some of my friends say it reminds them of the second coming or the wrath of God.

Sedona is a wonderful place. I think the Christina cross that illuminated the hills is worse. Try the caverns in the mountains just above in Flagstaff. I still think going to the Mc Donald's for a breakfast burrito and coffee then rushing up to the place you shot this is still the best thing going in the area. Good going and next time bring your breakfast. :_)
