I use this image as my avatar, poster of exhibitions etc... because "I think I'm a dreamer" and that's what I do when I create surreal images, were my fantasy go "crazy" sometimes, so not always understood.

I have a couple friends in photography who are creating composite art. But yours is sincerely the best I've seen after René Magritte and a true hommage in photography. What I make now (retired), is a logic follow-up from what I did as Art Director in advertising, were surrealism was a source of inspiration for the concepts, only now, I have to create them low budget.
R.Magritte is the artist I love the most!
I try not to copy his work, but I'm strongly influenced by it.

Great work, Ben, simple but very effective, I have to say that I prefer your cleaner images, I mean, those without the textured overlay, my feeling is that it don't suits very well with this kind of creations, adding nothing more, no depth or something else (though I've seen on others images too). Of course just my opinion, I really have no intention to critique your high quality works. Just awesome! All the best!

I doubted a long time to use the textures overlay... maybe, I was influenced by a lot of creative edit here, who use it.
I made a test of both versions on FC.de, some liked with overlay, others not!?.
It is possible that for this image it doesn't work very well... it was just an experiment. (Never to old to learn)

Many call me the Magritte/Dali of photography.

Alexander Kharlamov It's well deserved, your name is certainly a reference in digital surrealist photography. I'm now working on one image inspired in Magritte too, but it's too green to be released yet, I'm not happy with it. :)

Ben Goossens R.Magritte inspires still now a lot in advertising, for award winning concepts.
