I would rather call this Brutus or Cassius, Romans had no reasons to look so pride around 380AD anymore... the other version is more like Ammianus to me: less determination and more reflective of the past and glory long gone, more resignation. Doesn't change a bit about the impact and quality of this shot, though.

Well done! I never thought such cliché would work but you prove it that it works very well! Nice light btw and the cantered composition works great for it! One small thing but this is hair splitting so far and this are his pupils which are wide open and unnatural some how.
