Pilgrims resting at the feet of Saint Parascheva, the biggest religious pilgrimage in my country.

Between 11th-15th of October each year, more than 70.000 believers from all over the country gather around the walls of the Grand Cathedral in Iasi, waiting in kilometers long line for days in order to touch and see the holy relics of Saint Parascheva.

Also believed to be a miracle worker, the site gathers even larger crowds each year, with people hoping to be blessed by the one that is said to be one of Romania's (and in particular Moldavia's) holy protectors.

Finished one week ago (today being the 22th of October) this image is a fragment of a Photojournalistic project whose object is to show nothing but a glimpse of what some like to call : a romanian Mecca.
