An Indonesian elementary student goes to school with a bike through a barren land. There is a custom in some villages in Indonesia to burn their farms after crop period, that is why during these time of the year, the air can be very smokey.

I don't know what to say about this photo and not to insult its author.....if this is photopgraphy's future path, if photography is going to be based on photoshop plugins etc...then i should start playing chess immidiatelly and throw my camera in garbage :(

Truthfully, when I saw this, I thought "This was taken with a hasselblad", then I looked down and saw the 1000d.

You are truly skilled, my friend. An amazing shot.

rishardana  Wow John, thanks a lot for the compliment. I just got lucky I guess, this was my 7th try uploading to 1x and usually i got rejected good and proper :D so this one was a nice surprise.

For the processing I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 and use photo filter adjustment layer, I like the emerald preset and all i tried several blending mode for it.
