I can't imagine anything much worse then having a published picture openly criticized. Saw it in screening and liked it, very alien like, impact is highly subjective, best is to ignore those comments in my opinion.

Then I have heard that bad criticism are good to learn and get better and sometimes it happens that a world wide recognised picture is not liked by somebody...

Alexander Spernes If an oppinion is such a bad thing, they should consider getting rid of the possibility to make comments, right? Openly criticized? If my oppionion isnt the same as yours, then it's bad? Wow..

Your comment was a purely negative comment towards the photographer, it didn't have any constructive critique, just a personal opinion on a photo. You say it has no impact, I say it does, subjective perhaps?

it made me think at (the very) first glance, that she was a swimmer, preparing herself to jump into the water,
It is a photo that makes you think, with all imperfections that a great street shot needs!

Where is the impact? Remarkable that it got pass the screening. Nothing wrong with the picture, but it's not something I predicted would go pass the "strict" rules on this site. But lately, I have been less and less surprised by what is posted, and more and more sceptic to the "main screeners". But as I said, the picture in it self is good, the negativity is to the screeners:)

Don't start to complain just because you feel I took something out on your photo, cause like I said, I didn't.

i think she is cycling, I would prefer to see her hands and bike. also another shot without any people on the background of your main model would be better. anyway, owners of gallery selected this to home page and congrats for this...

tomaz crnej you know serdal, IMO imperfection makes street photos perfect. She was driving bike 15km per hour, i took a snapshot and for me her interesting face is the main and strongest part of the pic. And of course, there are people on the stree, street is street. Also hands dont disturb me, it makes it different. IMO. Thank you, regards tom.
