On a cloudy day this Hornet left its nest, deep in the mountain, to show its sting. Flying through completely grayed out valleys and very close to immense invisible rock peaks it reached somehow the target zone where I was waiting for it. At 2500 meters altitude I suddenly heard a distant jet sound shortly after followed by a burst of explosions about 100 meters from where I was standing followed by the thunder of 4 canons coming from the sky. At this moment the Hornet plowed in a fraction of a second from one cloud to another giving me the change for this one shot. Although I did not see him come he probably did see me somehow and he certainly did see the target which took a tough punch. It was then very clear to me again that you better enter these mountains as a friend.

In the enlarged picture on my computer the pilot indeed seems to look sideward. Which doesn't surprice me as I already supposed he did spot me when selecting his target. And not me :-)
