Thank you all for the support as well as the criticism. I also thank my model, for being so patient and baring up with a lens right in her nose :)
Cheers all, Raluca

Well I like it! It works, and that is all that matters. It maybe an 'old joke' but an old joke well told can make you laugh. This is a funny picture. Technical matters are pretty much irrelevant here as good technical quality wouldn't make this any funnier.
If someone throws a pie in someone's face in an old movie, it doesn't matter if they used less than perfect ingedients. . . if you see what I mean.
A nice antidote to some of the more 'serious' 1x images imho.

a good laugh is sustained by a relevant image,folks...if u cannot see that....especially considering the implications of this site...than we should go on publishing stereotypical images over and over again....

personally i have seen a dosen of reproductions of many cows..posed in this exact position!
Mal Smart  Hi ANDU. Of course there are technical issues with the photo, they are there and scream out at the viewer however, close inspection of the archive of 1x will reveal many others to, Some images simply rise above the obvious. And your continued critique on this and others only highlights your own very narrow perspective of what is good and bad. Your opinion will always be welcome but I strongly recommend that you broaden your horizons a little to take in the intent and purpose of such images.

all the best

ANDU  if images like these still stirr laughter...then the novel aspect in the composition is recognised only by means of an untrained eye!
i told u i can show u milions of copies...same aspect...same breed of cows...saw posture...same thing...and thus same reaction...a dull laughter!
personally this image does not make me laugh for what i am concerned! no more! it made me laugh when i saw a replica....long ago...the first one i had ever seen at that time!
do u get my idea?
Mal Smart  I totaly get your thoughts and appreciate them and as mentioned above there are very good reasons for this image not to be included on this site. I'm just very happy that the site crew and voting members have such a wide variety of likes and dislikes and can sometimes see through obvious flaws and or cliche. But I guess that I, as someone with an untrained eye will fall into a trap of just liking something, just for the sake of it....:)))

Don't listen to the purist humourless people. ;)
This does exactly what the category says. :)

I like this photo. It has, as ANDU points out, some weaknesses, but it makes me smile which is worth a lot. And it was posted i Humour.

It reminds me of a a funny PPS from the time when Mad Cow Disease was the big issue :-)

and if the administration has such rigurous rules concernig teknique and other issues like this...why didn't anyone notice the burnt or overexposed sky..which is thus filled with a yellow hue...but doesn't solve the problem at all..it only points it out more!
how about the grass fibers which intervene in the foreground...disturbind the nose of the cow...
why didn't anyone notice the noise on the nose?and that blurred section on it ,too?
and hasn't anyone seen that the cow's head is a bit situated to the left?
there are such good compositions that remain locked, rejected in the critique section and still u keep publishing cliches like this one?
put it in the critique section...let's see what the guys think of it there!
or please do notice that the publishing section will no longer be a milk and honey section...with fine, sweet words!
it's a photo site ...so let us say something about any picture that bothers the eye!

don't get me wrong...i do not have anything to do with u personally,Kiddo!

it's just that my expectations with this site are starting to fade!

Un classico piacevole, il tempo necessario per non farti leccare l'obiettivo!!:):):)

i think this trully is a cliche...it doesn't matter if u change the breed of the cows..it's just boring to me!
despite the quality of the image...an original vision of the situation,of the animal itself equals zero!
this was another slip-off of the screening section, which i find irritating!
