Alex, a really breathtaking image. I found the lighting pattern completely astonishing, with the sun on the backg but with some kind of filling light coming from the right.

Alex Tremps Hi John, thanks for comment, the light comes from a 1,500,000 candles lantern. Painting slowly between the 600 seconds.

John Parminter Interesting Alex, I haven't used artificial light in any of my landscapes yet relying on the good old Sun but this has got me wondering.
