Love the title - worthy of a great photograph.
Richard Ford  Thanks - it was almost too easy - I just made sure not to hesitate....hard to be quick with a 60 year old manual camera with de coupled range finder - but it worked out so I am happy. :-)

"Honey, I shrunk the...!" Took me a while to figure out that I'd never find the sitting man's reflection in the glasses. :>)

Good one.
Richard Ford  The advertising (the picture behind) was amazing in it's detail and printing quality. I don't think even medium format would have held such resolution printed that big - they must have used large format - maybe 8x10 in the making of the advert.... I am just glad that I got a delta 3200 shot to look good. Granted I had to step up to 120 format to do so. :-s

King Douglas  You are right...ff they knew the degree of enlargement it would be no problem to shoot whatever format necessary. The largest view camera I've worked with on a daily basis was 11"x14"...made my 4x5 seem like a pea shooter.

And yes, good work with the Ilford Delta 3200.
Richard Ford  Well these billboards are prolly about 3 times larger than this image - that is - the image seen here is about 1/3 of the total height and half the width. Even in this shot of mine you can see pores and details in the skin... very amazing stuff. Most billboards here look like they were shot with a handycam and blown up - even from across the street they look pixelated....

Great shot Richard. Took me a while to work it out.
Richard Ford  Took me 2 seconds to flip open camera - guess distance - adjust and shoot. ;-)

Disorienting and rather unnerving. And I mean that in a good way, sort of. (But Ikea is quite often necessary to survival... and is much cheaper than other options - go with it.)
Richard Ford  Thanks Deborah...the meat balls is the only reason I will go. That and there MUST be a list before we arrive and if it is not on the list either party has veto power. Ikea is the worst form of consumerism....buying stuff to then find a problems that they don't have to start with - to use it for.....

very wierd Richard, don't know which way to turn my head, up or down.

:)
Richard Ford  I thought of that Tyler Durden line from Fight Club when I saw this scene as I approached - what is the front of a large construction site for a nuvo riche "lifestyle" apartment complex:

"Is this essential to our survival, in the hunter-gatherer sense of the word?"

I also think that line when the wife wants to go to Ikea.... ;-)
