Only top and bottom cropped for 16:9 format. The left and right edges are the original frame edges.

The faces are a little blown - but that happens with centre weighted metering in this old camera that metered the bushes just fine! Alas there is no time within the moment to take a reading off of one of the faces....sorry.

This is a very nice street shot. But is not that no matter what lightmetering system you will have, just one zone will be exposed correctly. Not only face of the man is "blown" but also the stone in some parts is loosing detail. These surfaces were probably perpendicular to the sun. But I think it could be corrected with little burning. The "information" is still on the negative.
Richard Ford  True. I dodged a fair bit on the faces already - didn't give much attention to the stone. It was such a quick shot and it is almost a perfect setup for a metering error with the way the scene looks like and a centre weighted meter....

Once you said, street is all about juxtaposition, and this photo is just that.
Richard Ford  Yup. This is the quintessence of it.

Their faces are fine. I worry that you spent too much time considering the technicals when it's the content that matters most. :-)
Richard Ford  Not at the time of shooting - I never think too much. But after developing and in the "review" mode I then notice and whip myself a few times to ensure that next time I remember.....
