Hi, Bill. You wrote, "I recently returned to photography after a 40-year interruption. From 1960 to about 1972 I was an avid picture taker, working exclusively in black and white with a Canon SLR.
The purchase of a Nikon digital SLR in 2007 restarted my photographic journey."

I must assume that you knew what you were doing back in the 60's and 70's...you haven't lost your touch.

I remember that I've seen it some time ago (it was in the critique?)...anyway I like it a lot! Wonderful image, Bill!
Bill Mangold  Wow Codrin, you have some memory! I had to "sit" on this for awhile in order to get a better feel for how to do my post processing. It's funny how the passage of time changes your perspective on some images -- in this case probably for the better. I'm glad that you like it, thanks so much.

Good to see this here again, Bill. Congrats! It's funny, but I haven't noticed the watch until now!

Best,
Torsten
Bill Mangold  Thanks Torsten. Yeah, I have to recycle as much as I can these days. Actually, I darkened the watch a lot as I felt it was distracting.

Best,
Bill

I love the story behind the window. the man looking to us is very powerful.
Bill Mangold  Hi Storytaylor. Actually this is a self portrait and when I took it I had flu/pneumonia with a temperature of 102 and wasn't feeling powerful at all. I'm glad that you like it.
storytaylor  Bill I hope you feel better now. take care.
