Beautiful! Was it a catadriopic lens?
Thomas Ljungberg  No, it's not shot with a catadioptric lens (had to look that up :-) ). This is shot with the Nikkor AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8D. Wonderful piece of glass, one that I miss after moving over to Canon.
BR41N-FCK  I thought it had been catadioptric lens because of the looks of the bokeh (light rings with dark centre). Anyway it is truly wonderful glass.
amazing,...simply but nicely,...welldone
I just entered my childhood.. I went to that safe haven, the woods, were the elves danced in there bubbles around me.. A happy place were imagination was allowed and very real.. Thank you for bringing me back there Thomas!

Thomas Ljungberg  What a beautiful comment Elisabeth, it really made me happy. What you describe is one of the thoughts I had with this image, to make the viewer find back to forgotten dreams...

Very nice editting.. Good composition.. TFS
Thomas Ljungberg  Thank you Omer. The main editing in this series is a subdued color scheme and adding a warmer tone to it.

Very moody image, Thomas! BTW, is this from Lidingö?
Thomas Ljungberg  Glad you see it that way, I was a little unsure about this one. This is taken north of Stockholm, in Järfälla where I live, on a slope down towards Mälaren.
Juha Saransalmi  Ok. Many thanks, Thomas!

Nice how the bokeh mimic the bubbles.
Thomas Ljungberg  Yes I see what you mean Kort. This effect is even more noticeable in the previous image in the series "Dreams of times to come". On that one it is almost hard to distinguish the bubbles from the highlights in the background.
Glad you noticed the effect and thank you for the comment.

really innovative
Thomas Ljungberg  Thank you. Often the simple ones are the most effective...

Sensational! How the hell did you get those bubble to behave themselves for you? ;-) Does it look any good in BW?
Thomas Ljungberg  And to be totally honest Richard, it's my daughters that are the true bubble wizards. I just document the events...
Thomas Ljungberg  Richard, it takes years and years of training. "A minute to learn and a lifetime to master" you know... :-))
Now that you mention it, I haven't done a bw editing of this image. Half a year ago it would have been uploaded in bw regardless if it looked good or not :-). Oh no, I'm turning into a ordinary color guy...
I'll have to get back to you on this one...
Thank you for the comment and adding it to your album!
Richard Ford  I may upload a colour shot over the weekend that I got back the other day (E-6) - but I am scared.... colour is so difficult for me. ;-(

Also I think BW may tone down the circles of the bokeh in the background (amongst the trees) as they are a little harsh right now....
Thomas Ljungberg  I see what you mean about the bokeh, I'll have a look at that. The subdued color scheme is chosen to give a little more dreamy feeling to the series. I'm not sure that mood would come out in b/w.

"La vie et nule sans bules":-))))
Thomas Ljungberg  Yes Ben, I guess life is a bit empty without bubbles and dreams...
Thank you!
Wonderful Thomas!!
Thomas Ljungberg  Thanx Marcus

You know what I think about this one, Thomas :) Glad to see it published.
It makes a wonderful (although perhaps a bit sad - depending on how you interpret it) ending to your series.
Thomas Ljungberg  Thank you Daria, both for the comment and the needed encouragement. I guess it could be sad, sometimes it is for me as well. I guess life is about choices, what dreams to follow and what dreams to let fly by...

A beautiful ending image for a wonderful series, Thomas, like it a lot!
all the best
Codrin
Thomas Ljungberg  Thank you Codrin. Was really hesitant to upload this since it is kind of weak in itself, but I think it works well together with the other in the series. But I'm really thankful for having it published.
