Tanker Dreams
It was early morning as the sun rose and thick fog covered the entire bay a couple hundred feet deep. I went up the Mountain above the Terminal to get above the fog and took a series of photos. As I was shooting, the fog started lifting and exposed this tanker at the berth. It must have been quite a view from their location also.

Some photos are ordinary and some photos have something extra. This photo combines the two which makes it extraordinary. It looks like a tanker port in the heavens. It gave me assosiations to the movie Sky captain and the world of tomorrow. The result is well worth the hike up the mountain. Very nice indeed! :-) Maybe you should consider removing the two cables from the backside of the ship?

Best Regards, Jarle
Gary Minish  Thank you for the critique, Jarle! Good point about the "cables". It is actually oil spill boom that surrounds the ship and has to be in place before the ship can take on oil. It's part of what keeps the port as beautiful as it is despite the industry. I've thought about cloning it out for aesthetic purposes but decided to leave it for two reasons: One is that it is part of the story and two is that it could possibly result in an investigation or at least a lot of questions for me if someone from the Dept. of Environmental Conservation, one of the local watchdog groups or the operating company saw the photo. They would definitely notice the lack of the boom because people take their environmental protection laws very seriously around here!
Jarle Hagavei  Arguably the best reason I have ever heard not to clone ;-) And yes, you are right, best leave the spill booms as is. Ignorance is bliss, but it might cause some problems, lol. When I look at the image now I more and more get the feeling that the cables, ooops, sorry... booms, should be there. Anyway, a very captivating image with many intriguing elements. Whish I whas there with you when caught it ;-) It's still "the sky ship" to me, and now I will put amongst my other favourites :-D

Best Regards, Jarle
