a friend made the comment below but it showed up under my name. anyway, i agree. it is intense and intriguing. i wonder about the stains around the cross. also, i read he died of exposure. i love these kind of faces and wonder if we will see faces like this in the future with the big recliners, satellite dishes and botox. oh well, it does look as though he had a hard life.

Wow. The photo hit me immediately. Honestly, it is so intense that I can only look at it for awhile then want to come back to it to examine the contrasts between the yellow walls and gray rumpled bedding, the splash on the wall, the lighting... I'm stunned.
