Thomas Ljungberg Hi Alexander and thank you for the nice comment. All you have to do is get up really early in the morning... ;-)
This is taken before 5 am in northern Sweden, so the sun has just come up, it's just above the horizon. The sun is filtered through a group of trees and bushes in the background. I'm lying flat on the ground using tripod, almost shooting upward against the flower. After a 45 minute fight with all the mosquitoes, it was back into bed for some sleep...

Hi Thomas, I'm not really into flower pictures but this one is simply irresistable. Wonderful colors and a great composition. I appreaciate it even more since I'm from Hälsingland originally. I was born and brought up in Bollnas but now live in Stockholm. I don't know if your from Hälsingland or simply passed by? It's a really beautiful part of Sweden.

My parents have a summerhouse at the coast in Sörfjärden, a place that I have spent all summers when growing up, regardless of where we have lived in the world. I still go there every summer with my own family.

I´ve always wanted to capture flowers like this, but I never get up this early in the morning...

Great shot!

Thomas Ljungberg It was hard to get up that morning but I did not have to go far. This is just outside our summerhouse in Hälsingland, Sweden. The light was fabulous and I got lucky with the sun just rising above the horizon. And I had no problem falling to sleep again after wards, even though I had MANY mosquito bites after crawling around in the dew wet grass.

Glad you liked it. It is the sun. This is shot just after the sun has broken the horizon. It is shining through some tree tree in the background. It was an really early morning (again) and the mosquitoes where terrible, but it was worth it...
