So this was shot with the Canon 17-40 lens?

Bobaloo Hi King... yes, I used the 17-40. It really stretched the limits of the lens and took quite a bit of posturing to get it framed for the look I was after.

King Douglas Thanks for the info...you will see that I followed up on this question in OE mail before seeing this response.

Despite your "posturing" you created an exceptional and memorable image. Your shot, by the way, takes me all the way back to my childhood when photo-spreads in Arizona Highways magazine inspired in me the desire to travel to places like Arches. I had no concept of what it took to create beautiful landscape images, but the magazine provided many, many examples of high-quality work for which I still have the greatest respect and admiration.

This is a splendid, spectacular photo of one of our national treasures.
Welcome to Onexposure. Who *are* you, Bobaloo? We both live in Dallas and I think I should know you and probably do.

I hope to see this exact scene the evening of October 10 or the morning of October 11. Also included in our itinerary: Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon North Rim, Zion (including Kolob Canyon), Cedar Breaks, Capitol Reef, (then Arches) and a bit of Canyonlands.
