I love that you caught the bubbles in the puddles - that always fascinates me when it rains. And I love her slightly too big boots. Very endearing!

Richard Ford Yes - I paid close attention to her pink boots in the BW conversion. Needed them to POP.

Richard Ford Thanks All. The scary thing is that the full sized, full quality image is much more striking than this one. You can almost touch the rain drops. I was worried that the shrinking sown and use of jpg would cut too much detail out.... :-(

Someone else also wrote "Love the use of negative space". Do you know what that means? Is negative space just empty space? I left the whole left side empty and didn't crop because it sort of felt as though it was needed for the scooter to have some place to roll into....

Thomas Ljungberg Yes, negative space is a term for the "empty space". You have included this empty space just right, for the reasons you mention. Empty space can be used in many ways to balancing or creating dynamic compositions.
