Powder Blue Evening
Taken during the last light of the day as a major snowstorm was breaking up. I love storm breakups, especially in the winter because you have the fog and clouds, the fresh snow and the peaceful silence because the snow absorbs the sounds. Even the trickling of the stream was muted.

Absolutely beautiful and silent
Gary Minish  Thanks, Mark. I'm glad you were able to feel the atmosphere in this scene.

very nice!!
Gary Minish  Thanks, Andrea. I noticed that this scene is almost the direct opposite of those in your portfolio. The area you're shooting is flat, clean, uncluttered, manicured and warm while this is chaotic, busy, complex vertical, raw and cold.

Gary Minish  Thanks, Daria. Actually it wasn't all that cold, probably around 24°F.

Beautiful. Wish I could feel the cold air now!
Gary Minish  Thanks, Angela. Tell you what...I'll swap you the cold for a little heat! Its been an unusually cool spring this year.
